Miles away I look back at the town,
All the children in the valley,
They're all burnin' it down
And they laugh as the flames,
Reach up toward the sky.
Rambling is something that a man might do,
When I've gambled away my money
I've got not much left to lose,
So I keep ramblin',
Til I can't ramble no more.
But I, find it hard to believe,
That you would find it so easy just to leave.
You keep on playin' like that,
You're gonna be playing with yourself.
Do what you can just to make it through the week,
I've been checkin' out my calendar,
The whole month looks bleak;
And if you can't watch yourself (HEY),
At least keep an eye on the time.
Seems like black magic, least as far as I can tell;
There must be some witches in the kitchen,
They're casting a spell.
What could be worse, than a curse?
Maybe some kind of hell.
But I, find it hard to believe,
